The key art created for the "Paths of Glory" DVD booklet required colorization of the scanned-in 8 x 10 image of star Kirk Douglas. It also needed a replacement of his right-eye in the image (because of an unwanted glint that made him appear to have a "lazy-eye"). It was then placed over a thematic background with a still from the film.
The four page booklet was designed for insertion in the DVD clamshell packaging for the films initial DVD release.
The title art was created digitally, and was a new design for the DVD release of the film. The type was created in Illustrator.
This is a collage of the portions of the final image, overplayed atop the original source image. This helps to show the before/after effect of the photo retouching and composition work.
